During our last week of school, children from across the school were presented with certificates to recognise their terrific attendance records for this academic year.
We regularly host attendance recognition assemblies throughout the year, as part of our HERO attendance initiative. But the end of year recognition is particulalry special.
Well done to all thos who received certificates and are pictured below.

6th Class held their annual persuasive debates last week.
All children in Room 15 were split into 6 teams and 3 debates took place on very current and hot topics. These included Social Media Use for Under-18s, Veganism and Youth Participation in Organised Sport.
The 6 teams were given a topic and side weeks in advance. They worked tirelessly using the persuasive techniques they had learned in class – particularly the AFOREST method – in writing their arguments. They learned the structure of an organised debate and also how to respectfully rebuttal.
It was a great day where chidlren even took the opportunity to formally dress, while having lots of fun with arguing in a constructive and positive way. Well done 6th Class!
